Thursday February 8th. We were doing the first of the Spring collection shoots for a regular client, Camille.co.uk
They offer a diverse and high-quality range of lingerie, shapewear and nightwear for women of all shapes and sizes with a focus on bright colours, bold patterns and designer style. (Quoting from their site here)
And diverse is the word, that day we worked through around 75 different items (shooting 360 degree stills and walk around videos) ranging from cosy long sleeved night dresses aimed at the more mature lady, dramatic and fun fleece onesies, maternity wear, bras etc slinky summer nighties and more.
Model selection is critical, needing someone who can metamorphosis into almost any in size, age or style to complement the clothes. No really.
I knew Katy Woodcock was well up to the task and she performed the transformations with ease. Great model, very versatile and a giggle to work with.
On top of all that we always try to produce a selection of web banners featuring new collections, styles or for calendar specific promotions, Mother’s Day, Hallowe’en, that type of thing.
On that day we shot banner imagery to highlight a new leisure wear range, matching fashion bra and brief set, delicate spring printed nightwear and a Valentine’s day promotion highlighting Camille’s wide Seduction range of babydolls. Valentines day being only six days away. A bit last minute, right? Shoot dates have to wait for the product samples to arrive so you don’t really have a choice.
A good friend who manufactures handmade satin wraps and Chemises had run me up a rich Red satin sheet which was thrown over one of the studio sofas. Katy gives the makeup one last boost, slides on and smoulders in red loveheart babydoll. Last shot done, long day over right?
No. Not yet Post production work was completed during the night and waiting in Clients Dropbox for the following morning ready for upload in time to catch the big Valentines advertising push over the weekend, (you know all Moonpig Cards and Dine in for Two luxury dinners).
Deadline met.
